Two things inspired me to start this blog, the theme ‘ideas for future’ & DISHA DIRECT’s journey of eight years. They made me reconnect with my decisive years … a time when I and my small team of 4 people started this journey with an undying passion for innovation.
Futuristic ideas and innovations have been the pillars of success for Disha Direct. And no better tagline than ‘Ideas for Future’ could have brought together this essence of business at Disha Direct. And now, I feel this tag identifies with so many things like our evolving lives, various business developments, solutions to different situations & more. I really think this blog is going to be one of my most interesting tasks ever because I already have so many topics playing on my mind to be shared.
As I said, it was a small beginning. We just had one project & an innovative idea. It was that time when a weekend bungalow was an aspiration to almost everybody but was a luxurious reality affordable only to the rich class. Hence our idea of offering plot with bungalow as a package deal in a gated community revolutionized the industry. This pioneering concept of offering hassle free & secured weekend homes at reasonable rates led to the creation of a whole new industry in real estate called ‘second homes’.
We initiated this concept when there were very few players in this segment. But today there are numerous big and small firms catering to the increasing demand of second homes. At this point I remember one particular meeting for the launch of campaign ‘Destination Talegaon’, a destination centric campaign for multiple projects. It was at this meeting that we happened to coin the term ‘second homes’ as it was going to be a mix of bungalows, row houses and flats. The idea behind redefining the term from weekend homes to second homes was to modify the perception for these homes from being just holiday homes to well equipped first homes in long run. Today, second homes have graduated to a generic term. The entire concept is so well received that it doesn’t surprise me that a recent survey suggests a demand of 2 lac second homes in Mumbai alone.
For me, personally, success is always the result of an idea well executed through innovation and passion. And as a part of successful execution, we at Disha Direct, live up to the standard of quality and transparency in dealings. A focused approach towards customer satisfaction and delight also comes as an integral part of our journey of eight years and 8000 customers.
Must say, it was an innovative idea that led to establishing a trustworthy and reputed brand ‘Disha Direct’… seriously it’s all about cracking a potent idea for future!
